"Orto Arcobaleno": we have always produced our vegetables with organic methods. Foods and wine are natural and very tasty. We offer accommodation in rooms or in a small shady camping site. You can free use services as refrigerators, a complete kitchen, a washing machine, barbecues, bikes and playground equipment.Our prices are the cheapest in the region and the atmosphere is simple, familiar and quite. Hot water all the day long and in summertime there is a fresh swimmingpool in the garden. Now we prepared too a big terrasse where, nearly everynight, you can joint with us and the other guests for a party or for a communitarian dinner. And there is also a big tent for special events as small concert or performances. Even guests can pourpouse cultural or amusing activities. We have contacts with peace and green organizations.

Where we are
We have 3 locations.The main one is in Zelarino-Mestre. In this place we concentrate mostly of our activity. We have nice rooms with kitchens and private bathrooms, and a small camping with 10 tent-places. To come here, get out frm the highway at Castellana's exit and get on the other side, passing under it in direction Castelfranco. When you see Auchan supermarket, run on the left side and pass under the tunnel. After a roundbout, you will see a flashing light and Vica's bar. There via Parolari starts and at number 88, we are arrived. Or, if you come to Venice or to Treviso airport, you are only few km and it is possible to pick you up there or to get a bus to Mestre in connection.

If you come by fly (there are Ryanair Low cost flies to Treviso airport) we can easily collect you at the airport.
Seaside. A clever solution for the summer could be to take a room in a our farmhouse nearby the Cavallino beach. The soft sand and the lovely surroundings are just perfect places for a sunny holiday. The water temperature is always temperate or warm. And taking a bike or a boat you can reach easily ecological and historical sites as the natural oasi of Lio Piccolo, Torcello and Burano islands, and by ferryboat every '30, Venice, Lido and Pellestrina.
Venice.
In town centre, we can offer 2 apartments. A small one (a double bed) nearby Sant Marcus square, and a large one (8 beds) at Castello nearby the Biennale of Arts and the fruit and fish market in via Garibaldi. This all to taste the magic of this unique city and to live as the Venetian people for some days and nights. Here you have to book in advance.....

Activity
From Zelarino, where you can spend some relax in the green, at about 1 km, every 15min you can catch the bus to Venice ( 20min driving). A complete visit will take some days because the beauty of the city itself and the
very important monuments as the Palazzo Ducale e Palazzo Correr, the San Marco's basilic, the Academy of Beautiful art, the Peggy Guggenheim collection, the churches ect. But you should not miss at least a couple of islands of the lagoon or a promenade in Pellestrina or in Alberoni beachs.

Many other art towns are closeby: Padua, Treviso, Bassano, Asolo as well as some Palladian villas or beautiful lagoon sites. We often organize special tours by boat to the wonderful islands of Saint Franciscus on-the-desert, Torcello, Burano.
And when it is possible friends and artists come here and we very often have meetings with a dinner or drinks around the fire. In the farm you will also find some brouchures and guidebooks to better visit our region .Have a cultural and relaxing week here!

 

De voorbije zomer opteerden we ervoor om onze reis richting Kroatië te onderbreken in de buurt van Venetië. Aangezien het verblijf in Venetië erg duur is zochten we een bestemming voor enkele dagen in de nabije omgeving. We vonden uiteindelijk onderdak in het dorpje Zelarino, gelegen tussen Venetië (10 km) en Treviso (20 km, luchthaven voor Ryanair). Eventjes buiten het dorp, zeer rustig gelegen, bevindt zich een typisch Italiaans landhuis met enkele gastenkamers, een drietal kleine apartementjes en een minicamping. Maurizio, de joviale gastheer combineert er het hoevetoerisme met zijn biologische boerderij. Wij betaalden 40 € per nacht voor een klein appartementje voor 4 personen. De kinderen kunnen er ongestoord spelen. Er is een klein zwembad, er staan fietsen ter beschikking , er zijn huisdieren enz. De bus welke in het dorp stopt brengt je op een half uur tot in Venetië. Snel, goedkoop en zonder parkeerproblemen. Maurizio, zelf vaart regelmatig uit met een kleine Venetiaanse boot met zeil (en motor). Wij maakten met een 10 tal gasten alzo een daguitstap naar de nabije eilanden Murano, Burano en Torrichello en dit voor 20 € per persoon. Voor die prijs gidst Maurizio je rond op de eilanden. En...hij maakt 's middags zelfs een echte Italiaanse spaghetti klaar op de boot terwijl wij lekker in water doken. Kortom een heel Leuke plaats om Venetië en omgeving te bezoeken.
